how to pick the correct snowboard
Picking the correct snowboard when you are first starting out is a tricky one, when you pop into your local snowboarding rental shop and ask for any advice on what you need they would probably tell you to stand the board on the floor and if it reaches your mouth thats fine....to pick the perfect board depends on the terrain you want to go on as well as your weight and height, if you have experience you could go for a specialist freestyle board. I always found using a meduim size board you could control it much more, rather than using a longer board and struggle to move it... i feel its all trial and error, and perhaps trialling different size boards in a rental shop is not a bad idea.
